28-Cubic Foot Sheldon Forced Air Oven

The Sheldon 28-Cubic Foot Forced Air Oven provides the large chamber capacity needed for batch drying and conditioning of aggregate, asphalt materials, pans, molds, and other laboratory items. HMA offers both the general-purpose SMO Series and the higher-performance SMO HP Series, allowing laboratories to match oven performance and maximum temperature to their workload.

Typical Applications

Aggregate drying, asphalt sample conditioning, drying pans and containers, heating molds, moisture testing preparation, high-volume construction materials laboratories, and general laboratory drying.

Lab Manager's Tip

The key decision is temperature and recovery performance. For routine aggregate drying and conditioning, the standard SMO Series is generally appropriate. If your lab requires faster recovery, higher operating temperatures, or more demanding temperature performance, step up to the SMO HP Series. Also note that this unit must be hardwired; plan electrical service before delivery.
