Three 4" specimens are compacted simultaneously using rotating bases and 10lb bevel-faced hammers, while an automatic counter controls the compaction cycle.

Lab Manager's Tip

This compactor makes the most sense when Marshall specimen volume is high enough to take advantage of three simultaneous compaction stations. Keeping additional preheated mold assemblies available can further increase throughput by allowing technicians to prepare the next specimens while another set is being compacted.
