Kit for Testing 5.5" to 6" Specimens - Pine Shear Fixture

Tack coat quality plays an important role in the performance of pavement structures.  Evaluate the tack coat bond shear strength between lifts of asphalt on 5.5″ to 6″ specimens using this kit and Pine’s Bond Strength Shear Test Fixture.  This combination meets the requirements of Tex-249-F.

A proper test requires that the shear plane of the specimen be aligned in the shear gap of the fixture.  The shims and bolts provided in this kit help one properly fix the position of the specimen in the fixture.

A Kit Includes:

• One Set of 1/16″, 1/8″, & 1/4″-thick Shims (4 Pieces per Thickness per Set)
• 1″ Long Bolts (8 Bolts in a Kit)
