For asphalt and concrete laboratory water baths, consistent water circulation helps minimize temperature differences between the heating element and test specimens. Position the pump inlet and discharge to promote water movement throughout the bath without directing excessive flow against specimens. Always ensure the pump is properly primed and supplied with water before operation, and verify that its temperature rating is compatible with the bath's operating temperature. This pump circulates water but does not heat or independently regulate water temperature.
