Marshall Compactor - Automatic, Rotating Mold 4" or 6"

The Heavy-Duty Automatic Marshall Compactor provides a rigid, repeatable method for preparing 4" or 6" asphalt specimens for Marshall testing. The rotating-mold design works with a tapered-foot hammer to produce a kneading action during compaction, while the automatic counter allows the technician to preset the required number of blows and automatically stops the machine when the cycle is complete.

Lab Manager's Tip

Choose the specimen size based on the applicable specification and aggregate size rather than simply selecting the smaller 4" mold. If your laboratory regularly prepares both sizes, the same heavy-duty machine can be converted by changing the hammer and mold assembly, which may be more economical than maintaining two separate compactors.
