Additional Information
Product Description
The InstroTek MixWorx Wireless Sensor measures asphalt mixture behavior inside a gyratory mold during compaction. By recording movement and temperature, it helps mix designers evaluate workability and refine compaction temperatures for conventional and modified asphalt mixtures.
Key Features
- Supports ASTM D8541 asphalt workability testing
- Bluetooth wireless data transmission
- Measures relative rotation, acceleration and temperature during compaction
- Protective polymer case and stainless-steel body
- Rated for temperatures up to 150°C
- Applicable to laboratory- and plant-produced mixtures
- Useful for polymer-, crumb-rubber- and waste-plastic-modified mixes
Lab Manager's Tip
Use MixWorx data alongside standard mixture volumetric and performance results. Compare compaction behavior across mixtures at controlled temperatures to identify meaningful differences in workability.
Typical Applications
Asphalt mixture design, gyratory compaction studies, modified-binder research, temperature optimization and paving-materials development.
