Lab Manager’s Tip

For accurate concrete unit weight measurements, select a strike-off plate that extends approximately 2" beyond the diameter of the unit weight measure. This provides sufficient overlap to level the concrete without tipping the plate into the container. Keep the striking surface clean and inspect it regularly for scratches, warping, or damage that could affect the finished surface. For larger measures up to ½ft³, consider the CT-6504 14" × 14" plate.
