100mm & 150mm JBR Tack Bond Shear Strength Jig

The JBR Tack Bond Shear Strength Jig is designed to measure the force required to shear the interface between pavement layers bonded with tack coat. Its heavy steel frame and interchangeable specimen adapters support evaluation of 100mm and 150mm pavement cores using a suitable load frame.

Lab Manager's Tip

Verify that the jig fits your load frame and that its lateral-load setting is calibrated. Because tack-bond shear procedures may be specified by individual DOTs rather than one universal ASTM/AASHTO method, follow the governing agency's specimen conditioning, shear rate and reporting requirements.
